Why do I get an error message that says
"your email address has not been specified" when
I try to use an email link on a web page?
On most web pages, you will run across email
links that, when selected, send an email. In order to
use this function however, you must setup your browser
to recognize your email address. Your address will then
appear as the From section of the email.
Below are quick directions on how to set
up your Netscape 4 browser (directions to set up other
browsers will vary).
Within Netscape, go to the Edit menu
and select Preferences.
1.On left side of the pop up screen, select
Mail & Groups and then select Identity.
2.To the right, fill out your name and email address within
the form and click OK.
3.Your name and email will remain in the browser's preferences
until you manually delete them or uninstall Netscape.
What does PDF mean?
PDF (Portable Document Format) is a file
format that preserves page layout information--fonts,
graphics, colors--to allow any user working on any platform
to view the document exactly as it was intended to be
seen. You need the Adobe® Acrobat® Reader, a free download
from the Adobe web site, in order to view PDF files.
If you are on a campus or in the system office, you
may already have the reader installed; please check
with computer services personnel.
