Veteran ServicesVeterans services are becoming a more significant issue for student affairs programming in colleges and universities. In Minnesota, the Governor issued an Executive Order (06-02) in February, and the Veteran's Benefit Bill, Section 9, [197.775] Higher Education Fairness was passed by the 2006 Legislature and signed by the Governor. In addition, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities has been working in partnership with its state government partners, including the Departments of Military Affairs, Veterans Affairs, Employment and Economic Development and the Office of Higher Education to contribute toward a reintegration transition that is as smooth as possible for every returning Minnesota veteran.
